MVA-100TM Multi-Valve Assembly Specifications |
|
The valve system shall consist of 3, 4, 5, or 6 remote control valves, of which 2 and/or 3 bodies and connecting conduit are manufactured as one piece. This assemblage is mounted on each side in a modified standard 12-inch valve box, separated and supported by a tee union ball
valve. The valve box shall be constructed of polyethylene with a bolt-down security lid, pre-drilled for valve outlets. A wiring harness shall be pre-installed in the valve box, having a waterproof disconnect at each valve, and shall be connected to a pre-wired terminal block. The assembly shall include a snap-on cover containing silicone dielectric to waterproof the controller-to-terminal connections. The ball valve shall have a manual open/close control. The body shall be constructed of heavy-duty, glass-filled, UV resistant nylon. The ball seals shall be constructed of Teflon with Buna-N backup rings. The connection shall be a union internal threaded coupler. The control valves shall be normally closed, remote controlled, pilot operated, three-way, 24
VAC 50/60 cycle, solenoid-actuated with angle pattern. Valve pressure rating shall be not less
than 200 psi. The valve shall have a fully encapsulated, one-piece 24 VAC 50/60 Hz electrically
energized solenoid. The valve bonnet and body/manifold shall be constructed of heavy-duty, glass-filled, UV-
resistant nylon. The bonnet-to- body connectors shall consist of brass inserts and stainless steel hex-head washer-slotted machine screws. The one-piece diaphragm shall be nylon-reinforced Nitrile rubber. The valve shall have a nylon-reinforced flow control stem for accurate manual regulation and/or shutoff of outlet flow. The valve shall have a manual open/close control (internal bleed) for opening and closing valve
without electrically energizing the solenoid, eliminating water entering the valve box. The valve shall have a cross handle manual open/close control (external bleed) for opening and closing valve without electrically energizing the solenoid, used for flushing or when external
porting is permissible. The valve shall have a self-cleaning stainless steel metering pin. The valve construction shall be such that, by partially loosening the bonnet screws and rotating the bonnet counter-clockwise 1/8 turn, all internal valve parts are accessible without removing the valve from the pipeline. The valve shall be as manufactured by Olson Irrigation Systems, Santee, California. Home | About
